Frome: Host Family

Frome is situated in Somerset in the South-West of England. It lies on the river Frome and has a long history as a market town, particularly important for the textile industry which thrived during the 14th century. Today, Frome is an attractive place with many historic buildings and traditional cobbled streets with a population of approximately 25,000 people.

Frome is an ideal centre from which to visit the historic city of Bath, which is 12 miles north of Frome. Many other attractions are nearby, including Longleat House and Safari Park. Other excursion possibilities include Bristol, Wells and Glastonbury.
