General English for Adults ~ Small Groups
SUL’s experienced and qualified teachers are committed to delivering high quality English language teaching. Our courses are designed for student needs from beginners to advanced level. Our staff are ready to assist students on welfare and all other organisational matters.
Small classes ensure a high level of individual attention.
We offer the standard 15 hours a week in small groups of 3-6 students.
Students can opt for afternoon group or one to one sessions.Accommodation options are selected host families, hotels and self-catering.
Programme
Our teachers work to improve the following aspects of students’ English skills:
- general self-confidence when communicating in English
- accuracy in language structures and vocabulary
- range of expression (vocabulary, expressions and idioms)
- comprehension of written documents
- comprehension and reaction to verbal communication
- exam preparation
Our Methods
We provide the necessary practice to enable communicating in English to become a natural reaction rather than a painful search for the correct expression.
We use- exercises in grammar and speaking (to assist students to improve pronunciation and
- expression of ideas using more appropriate language),
- comprehension (using newspapers, journals and literary sources to promote discussions on a range of topics) and
- listening (to improve rapid understanding and thinking in English).
The group classes can be followed by individual sessions to improve areas of particular concern or interest.
