Sligo is the largest County Sligo in the north-west of the Republic of Ireland. Its population of 20,000 people enjoy living on the magnificent Atlantic coast, with its variety of mountains, beaches, lakes and forests. Sligo is famous for its connections with one of Ireland's most famous poets, W.B.Yeates, as well as for the pre-historic heritage and traditional Irish music. It has several very modern leisure facilities such as the new Sports Complex.
Our students are able to live with families in and around this town. Irish hospitality is famous and our families are happy to welcome their students into their family lives.

1400Afternoon activities begin. EG basketball, badminton, swimming, tennis, local visits
1700Return to host families
1800Evening meal with the host families
1930Stay with host families or evening activities. 2-4 evenings/week (e.g. disco, bowling or English club)
2100-2200 Back in host families for those who went out.
