Camborne is one of Cornwall's largest towns with a population of over 20,000 people. It grew in the west of Cornwall, alongside Redruth and Pool, on the wealth of the historic tin mining industry. Many businesses served the mining industry all over the world, including the world famous Camborne School of Mines. It is now a modern vibrant town, perfectly located for the many cultural attractions of West Cornwall. Our host families are well known for their genuine welcome to our students.

Camborne is ideally suited as a base to explore the history and culture of West Cornwall. The educational and cultural visits include St Ives, Lands End, the Minack Theatre, the Seal Sanctuary, Falmouth Castle and Maratime Museum, several Stone Age and Iron Age sites including the Iron Age village of Chysauster, the beautiful north coast villages like Porteath and St Agnes; as well as Truro and the Eden project
