How can a child contact their parents whilst away?
Most students use their mobile phones daily, during their ‘free time.’ In every residential college there will also be fixed line telephones available. Students must ask their group leader for advice on the use of these phones if required. In host families the family fixed line telephone may be used with permission of the family. It is normal for families to encourage their student to contact their parents on arrival and once or twice a week during their stay.
