If you chose this option, you wish to make maximum progress in your ability to communicate in English and to understand more fully the British way of life. Living in a totally English speaking environment gives you the best opportunity to progress quickly. Our programmes offer courses in General English, but specialist language needs may be requested. You will need some knowledge of English, in order to be able to make full use of your time and a willingness to adapt to a new way of life.

Our families look after their student all day

TYPICAL HOST FAMILY PROFILE

Our host families are specially selected on the basis of the quality of their hospitality, their experience of life and their level of education.
They may have young children, teenagers or have no children.
The importance is the quality of attention they can give to their student.
At least one adult member of the family will be available to be with the student all day.
Our families will introduce their student to their local community and give their students the opportunity to visit local cultural centres, as well as participation in some leisure activities.

LOCAL ORGANISERS

Our regional organisers visit each family and check their details carefully before selecting them
Every effort is made to chose a family to match the student's profile
Local Organisers check that their students are happy and are available to give help and support to the student at all times

OUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE OPTION

An adult member of the family is qualified to teach English on a one to one basis
A choice of 10 to 15 hours tuition per week; homework time is also given
A teaching programme that takes into account students' individual needs
A level test is given at the start and a progress report is given at the end

CLASSIC HOMESTAY IMMERSION

It is also possible to stay with host families without formal lessons in English
