Post of Director of Studies
We are looking for a DOS with extensive experience of working with young learners both as a teacher and manager of teachers.
The main responsibilities of the DOS include, but are not limited to: the recruitment and management of our teaching teams; teacher training and professional development; planning, resourcing existing and implementing new courses, including the further development of our own young learner syllabus. A high level of organisational and people skills, with attention to detail and an aptitude for hard work are vital.
Reporting to the company Director, the DOS is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of delivery for our language programmes and for ensuring our courses meet the standards required by our ABLS accreditation.
Qualifications:
Previous academic management experience at DOS level (at least 2 years) at a British Council or ABLS accredited school. DELTA / Dip TEFLA / MA TESOL or equivalent qualification is essential. Candidates with PGCE, Cert.Ed or B.Ed would be an advantage. Own car is essential as you must be able to visit our courses to help ensure the quality of delivery, which will entail some nights away from home.
