Falmouth Host Family Centre

Falmouth is an attractive seaside town which grew up as a deep water port and now popular for sailing. It is also an educational centre with the National Maritime Museum, the University of Cornwall and the Falmouth School of Art.
Its medieval castle, sandy beaches and proximity to many places of cultural importance, makes it a very popular choice for all groups wishing to explore Cornwall.
Built by Henry VIII to protect the anchorage of Falmouth, Pendennis Castle has defended the approaches to the large natural harbour and anchorage of the Carrick Roads for over 450 years. Visitor Information: www.english-heritage.org.uk
