Young Learners

Young Learners refers to students on holiday English courses, aged between 9 and 12 years (Juniors) or between 13 and 17 years (Seniors).

  • Everyone benefits from being able to communicate better in English.
  • The younger you start, the easier it is to acquire a second language.
  • SUL combines effective English learning with great holiday experiences in the British Isles.
  • We encourage students to develop their creativity and self confidence – so important for successful communication in a second language.

The Secret of Effective Learning

Teaching Young Learners in an English speaking country is a distinct advantage for our students, as we combine learning both in and outside the classroom.

  • We recognise that courses have to be fun and stimulating.
  • We teach the English that is appropriate to the age and level of our students.
  • We help our students to make reading, listening and speaking in English something that comes naturally.
  • We encourage our students to communicate with genuine English speakers, on topics that really concern them.
