    Home Tuition Young Learners

Home Language Tuition provides our students with a wonderful opportunity to live with their teacher and their family. One to one teaching and full integration in the English speaking way of life.

There is no better way to make rapid progress in English and get to know another family, another way of life.

Our Teachers

Our home teachers are selected after a personal interview in their homes. One of the parents will be qualified to teach English and organise 2 – 3 hours of lessons every weekday.
The teacher will check the level and interests of the student and plan the lessons to meet the needs of each individual student.
A report is given at the end with advice for further progression in their studies.

Benefits of Individual Home Tuition

Living and learning in the teacher’s home has several distinct benefits:

  • Formal one to one teaching sessions, in a relaxed home environment encourages learning.
  • The teacher has more time to assess the student’s needs and interests, vital for progress.
  • Extra hours of conversation outside the formal teaching sessions helps increase confidence.
  • The teacher’s knowledge of the local area helps our students assists students to explore local history and culture.
  • Students have the opportunity to communicate in English, in a broader range of situations than with classroom teaching, inside outside the home.

Where can I study?

Home Tuition is available in the following regions of England:

  • the South West.
  • the South East.

In the South West of England, our specially selected home teachers live are not attached to particular towns but live in the regions around Chippenham, Cirencester, Bristol, Bath, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth and throughout the county of Cornwall.

In the South East of England, our home teachers live in or around the towns of Coulsdon and Woking in Surrey, to the south of London.

Selecting the Right Family

We take the greatest care to try and select our families after personal interviews and document checking. Then we look for the best family for each student. The matching is offered to the student, before the final decision for the placement is taken.

We keep in contact with the host family and the student to make sure both are happy with the placement. As a result we achieve a very high level of success with this course.

The homestay experience is such a special relationship that friendships often grow and continue for years afterwards.

For all our Young Learners we arrange for our host family or Local Organiser to arrange an airport transfer service. This is usually from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Bristol, Exeter or Newquay airports but could also be from London St Pancras International station, or the port of Plymouth.
