Intensive English: Where can I study?
One to one English language teaching

SUL intensive homestay teachers are selected after a personal interview in their homes. Our students benefit from their experience and enthusiasm. All SUL English language teachers are experienced and qualified.
- One of the parents in the host family will be qualified to teach English
- Lessons are formal one to one sessions in the home
- The teacher checks the level and interests of each student and lessons are planned on the basis of this assessment
- The teacher has the support of the SUL academic management team to have the resources they need for each student
- The teacher writes a report which is given at the of the end course with advice for further progression in their studies
Remember our families are picked to ensure you have a great time and that your English really improves. If you are happy then you will be able to learn quickly. So your happiness is our first concern!

Choosing the right homestay family for you
SUL takes the greatest care to select the right homestay families to look after our young learners.
- We conduct personal interviews and also make all legal checks before accepting a family. We recheck all home stay families annually.
- SUL keeps in close contact with the family both before and during the student's stay.
- We match the family to the interests, age and abilities of the young learner so the more information you give us the better. SUL then offers the family placement to the student before the final decision is taken.
- We keep in contact with the host family and the student to make sure both are happy with the placement. As a result, we achieve a very high level of success with this course.
- The homestay experience is such a special relationship that friendships often grow and continue for years afterwards.
- For all our Young Learners we arrange for our host family or Local Organiser to arrange an airport transfer service.
